Our Baby Natasha

J brought Natasha on 2 May 2008. At that time, Natasha was weight 3 kg with height 10-11 inch.

At last our little girl now 5 months old as at 15 May 2008. J is very happy with her growth. Her height had over take yuki, maltese and now the same height as CoCo (12 inch), shelties (undersize).

Based on the Nobel size chart at the age in 20 weeks, a safe zone height (as in not oversize or undersize) will be between 12 - 13.5 inch.

J now praying hard that Baby Natasha will grow up to 14.5 inch just like Meteor and hopefully she able to heel properly for her coming June Show Conformation.

2008 Cynosports World Games

At last, Prince has qualified for the 2008 Cynosports World Games, Scottsdale, Arizona, United States ( Oct 29 - Nov 2 )

Hmmm J needs to plan for her leave and of course financial too. Hopefully S does not change her mind, if not , bye bye to Cynosports World Games.

Dog world

From Jan 08 till now, there are a lot of things happened in the dog world.

First is the sheltie fever. Last time, there are not much sheltie in Singapore. However out of sudden, there is an increase in sheltie pup and owner does not have basic knowledge about them.

Second, most of us are obedience trialers and we try so hard to train our dogs to be top. We keep doing the boring heel work without complains.

But now the trend started to change. Most of the obedience trialer started to feel bored with the obedience and become more hardwork in agility. Maybe due to less stress during the competition. This year, there is an increase in dogs taking part in agility, from last time 3 till now 10 mini dogs.

Althought it is good to see more people taking part in agility. However i noticed that agility trialer seem to turn ugly as compare to obedience trialer. Please do not ask me the 5Ws 1H.

Wonder why trialer take it so serious or "Kiasu"? Please it is just a game and have fun with the dog??? Agility is so fun but human had change it to be so ugly ..................OMG SO SAD About It.

Sheltie Fever

J noticed that this few months there are increase in sheltie pup's owner in the DOG forum. However J felt sad about the increase as she discovered that quite a number of the owners do not know the breed well.

There are a lot of questions that came to J's mind :-

a) Why they purchase this breed
b) Why from "them" ? Just because they are cheap ???
c) Althought some says that they dun mind whether they have cert or not but just healthy, but how they know whether they are healthy or not???
d) Have a cert for the pup does not mean that you are more high class BUT it help you to know more about the genes esp colour when you have no intend to sterilise or spray the dog.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:-

PLEASE KEEP THE STANDARD OF A SHELTIES.

For the past few days, J and her K9 buddies were having puppy fever. They had been visiting several petshops and home breeders looking for BC and shelties.

At last on 2 May 2008, J got a puppy, which name as Natasha. Wonder why tis puppy had won the heart of J ..... Hmmmm must b Aunty S cos she was the one wif J.
