This is my 2nd times going for the National Dog Walk with Prince and Trixee Belle. The 1st National Dog Walk was last year, which i only brought Prince. That year was a bad year for him, he was injured and was told by the vet that he is not allow to do any exercise. Last year, there was nothing special.
However for this year, they started to have dog sport challenge so i registered Prince for the "Open" Cat. event, together with our buddies.
This time the dogs sport challenge consists of the following :-
a) The Fastest Agility Small /Large dog
b) The Fastest Agility dog
(the top 2 agility dog in Small and Large Cat will compete for the title)
c) Team relay
d) 60 Superweaver
The weather on that day, was very very hot and it make everyone look tired except for my Prince Sir. He is still active and excited and of course a bit of out of control. .
For the 1st event, it is the "Fastest agility for small dog". There are total 5 dogs, one MS, one fox terriers, one cross westie, two shelties. During the runs, Prince was uncooperative , he keep missing the contact point. But lucky star is with Prince and we managed to squeeze into the top 2 for the small dog. The other small dog is Nova with Handler S.
After the fastest agility for small and big dog, the 2nd event will be the top 2 fastest large dogs will compete with top 2 fastest small dogs (me and nova) for the fastest agility. For this round, it is a tough competition esp the large dog, silver. Silver is a husky that are active , very obedience and follow close to his handler.
Lucky, Prince sudden become more "guai" (good boy) and complied with my command. We get a Clean Run so is S with Nova.
Unexpected, Prince managed to won the NDW overall champion for the fastest dog.
The 3rd event is the Team relay and my partner is Calvin with his dog, Dawn. It is a team replay, so far, we do quite well as compare to other team. We got the 3rd placing.
The last event will be the 60 superweave poles, this time, Prince is very distracted . He keep running forward and refused to do the weave pole. Due to that, we will disqualifed.
Overall, it is fun but very tired. Maybe due to the hot hot sun.
